The month of July continues to bring lower green fees and room rates making Scottsdale a great summer golf destination. Courses are also less crowded as the heat is a little much for some but it's actually not too bad as long as you drink lots of liquids. Most golf carts have roofs to keep you shaded as well. If you bring a towel to wet, it'll make the round all that much more enjoyable. Resorts are also offering exceptional rates on golf packages from now through the summer. Other nearby communities with great golf include Fountain Hills that includes the well known SunRidge Canyon Golf Club that was ranked as a Top 50 “You Can Play” by GOLF Magazine in 1996 and is a past host of the USGA National State Championship. The famous Red Rocks of Sedona are a great backdrop for the Sedona Golf Resort located about 90 minutes North of Scottsdale. Although open all year, spring through fall offer the best times to golf in Sedona.
